An ode to Dodaideu

Robin Dodaideu was Deuta'ব্দ younger brother and was very much loved by him. They shared a very special bond, a bound built on mutual respect, admiration and love for each other. Deuta always used to tell us how brilliant Dodaideu was in his academics.Growing up, due to Deuta'ব্দ transferable job, we didn't get to see Dodaideu, Khurideu and our cousing that often, but whenever we would visit Dhakuakhana, all I can remember is how much the entire family amde us feel special with their hospitality and treated us with warmth and affection. Deuta'ব্দ face would beam with hahpiness upon visiting his childhood home and both the brothers would have hour-long conversations asking whereabouts of their friends and all our relatives, Aa a kid, Dodaideu fondly called me 'Loli' and sometimes also referred to me as 'Indira Gandhi' due to my short curly hair parted on the side. These are all memories now
Until a few years ago, road conditions to and from Dhakuakhana were not that good and annual flood conditions would make things worse, but Dodaideu and khurideu made it a point to attend all our family functions including our weddings in spite of facing all the inconveniences which I can only imagine.
A simple man with a kind heart, Dodaideu lived a good life. With loving Khurideu, together they raised five beautiful children, each telented in their own way. Sumki, Joon, Munu , Bulbuli, they are all settled with own families pursuing their career and passions and Papu is well on his way to earn his doctorate in Physics and I am sure a very rewarding professional career awaits him.
All of us who have taken birth, must die one day, it is inevitable, its, definitely hard to fill in the void, but time is the best healer. We have to learn to live without the person whose soul has left the earthly body for the next world. I wish and pray for eternal peace of Dodaidu'ব্দ soul and just like the auspicious Lakkhi Puja full moon that shone brightly on the day he left for his heavenly abode, may Dodaideu guide all his near and dear ones in every step toward a brighter tomorrow
